Experience the vibrant sights and sounds of Bali at the Skokie Public Library on Saturday, November 15, from 3–4 pm with a special performance by Friends of the Gamelan’s Balinese Ensemble (Chicago, IL), joined by musicians from Gamelan Mojomanis (Indianapolis, IN), including master musician and dancer I Made Wardana (“Bli Ciaaattt”). Known for his charisma, humor, and dazzling artistry, Bli Ciaaattt has captivated audiences across Japan, Europe, and the United States with his unique blend of singing, dancing, and music. This family-friendly program will feature lively demonstrations of traditional Balinese masked characters alongside inventive new creations by Bli, all accompanied by the shimmering sounds of the gamelan. A joyful and engaging experience for audiences of all ages!
