You're invited to Friends of the Gamelan's first-ever Gamelan "Fam"elan, an afternoon celebrating the community that has kept Indonesian performing arts thriving in Chicago for more than four decades.

Gather with friends, family, performers, and supporters for a catered lunch by Garuda, hands-on opportunities to play gamelan instruments, a mini cultural fair, patio activities, and plenty of time to connect with fellow lovers of music and culture.

More than just a fundraiser, Gamelan "Fam"elan is a chance to experience the welcoming spirit of FROG while supporting our mission to preserve, perform, and share the rich traditions of Indonesian gamelan. Proceeds from the event help sustain concerts, educational programs, community outreach, and weekly rehearsals that bring people of all backgrounds together through music.
